Edward “Eddie” Dale, 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. He was born on December 6, 1958, in Burke County, NC to the late Millard Dale and Mary Martin Dale. Eddie was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. Eddie loved to watch drag racing (NHRA), where he took photos that were used in magazines. He also enjoyed buying and selling toys at the flea market. He was a caring individual and loved to travel with his wife and son.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen Dale; son, Blake Dale; sister, Aweeta Ellen Avery (David); brother-in-law, David Mikeal (Teresa); sisters-in-law, Margaret Shirley (Doug) and Rita Jones (Donnie); and numerous extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The memorial service will begin at 2pm in the church with Rev. Michael Gantt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
