I came to know Henry in my later life after hearing about his generosity and kindness to others. I was so lucky to interview him about his life history at his home in late 2023. And, what great stories he told about growing up, military service, family, neighbors, and his many friends. His recall of events and people was amazing. We need more Henry Ramseurs in this world. He will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

There shall never be another Henry Ramseur! During his tenure with NC Cooperative Extension, he was a well known and respected agent (or so I was told as a newbie agent)! Henry loved Extension and was a large fan of NCSU. God bless the family with peace.

I was in the Rotary Club of Burke Sunrise with Henry and he always made me smile. He brought life and energy to the early morning meetings. I have a small farm and we always connected over gardening, and raising farm animals. Boy could he tell a story and a joke. His wit and personality were readily apparent and his love for his family obvious. He brought his wife, daughter and even his visiting brother to our meetings. Henry was a man that you remembered and revered. He will be missed.

Henry was a fine man and great storyteller. My mom’s family (the Lane’s) knew Henry and the family since childhood, and Henry and my uncle went to State together. My mom and dad truly enjoyed being around Henry and Penina. He will be missed! Blessings to the family- Debbie Bradley
