Ada Aline Scott

Ada Aline Scott, 89, of Glen Alpine, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019. Born on January 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Thaon Reese and Charlotte Reese. Ada loved God, she loved all of her family, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews. Ada loved her friends and her town of Glen Alpine. She loved flowers which she planted at home and all over Glen Alpine. She loved GA woman’s club, that she worked with to help any way they could to help improve the town. She was very proud of being crowned Miss Turkey Tail in 2006.

Ada is survived by her sons, Reid Scott (Pat), Rick Scott (Rita) and daughter-in-law Brenda Scott; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Betty Reese.

In addition to her parents, Ada is preceded in death by her husband, Buck Scott; son, Randy Scott; sisters, Edna Buell and Louise Brookshire; brothers, Thaon Reese and John Reese; grandson, Ryan Scott; great grandson, Matthew Bradley.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Glen Alpine Cemetery, with Joe Greer officiating.
