Addell Garrison Franklin

Addell Garrison Franklin, 82, of Morganton, NC passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 after several years of declining health. Born in Burke County, NC on May 23, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Robert Garrison and Louise Duckworth Garrison. Addell was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher. She retired from Drexel Heritage Furnishings.Addell is survived by her son, Bruce Franklin and wife, Rama Jean, of Morganton; a daughter, Roberta Shuping and husband, Ned, of Morganton; grandsons, Andrew Shuping and wife, Brenda, and Philip Shuping and wife, Betty; great-grandchildren, Savannah and Loretta Shuping; and a brother, Charles Garrison and wife, Leota.The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Emory officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
