Addie Mae Jenkins

Addie Mae Jenkins, 80, of Morganton, NC passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019. She was born on November 20, 1938 in Burke County to the late Tossie Edward Jenkins and Lessie Fullwood Jenkins. Addie Mae was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and retired from Drexel Heritage Furniture Company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stacey Jenkins; brothers, Lonnie Jenkins and Charles Jenkins; sisters, Alice Fay Jenkins, Betty Caldwell, and Christene Sutton.

She is survived by sons, Brian Jenkins and Christopher Jenkins (Lolita) of Morganton; brother, Harold Jenkins (Lula); sister, Wanda Wilkins; grandchildren, Selita Jenkins and Malik Jenkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, Friday, April 5, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 3:00pm in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Revs. Kenneth Falls and Frances Tate officiating. Burial will follow in the Avery Family Cemetery.
