Agnes Wilson Johnson

Agnes Wilson Johnson, 84, of New Orleans Blvd., Morganton, NC, died Monday, August 11, 2008 at Hospice of Catawba County. Born in Burke County, NC on February 28, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Marcus Wilson and Bessie Mace Wilson. Agnes was associated with the Burke Community Bible Church.She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Baxter of Morganton; grandchildren, Crisci Miller of Pinehurst, NC and Jordan Baxter of Morganton; great-grandchildren, Meagan Miller and Carolanne Miller; brothers, Russell Wilson, Clarence Wilson, and Roy Wilson, all of Morganton; and a sister, Hazel Smith of Hickory, NC.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ervin Johnson; brothers, Walter, Chester, and James Wilson; and a sister, Viola Bollinger.The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Burke Memorial Park with Rev. David Doster officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home.
