Aiko Hirose Shuffler

Aiko Hirose Shuffler, 88, born in Tokyo, Japan went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 30, 2012 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Yoskie and Yonnie Hirose. She has served faithfully in christian ministry and in the military service with her husband and is greatly loved and appreciated.She is survived by her husband, Rev. William A. Shuffler; daughter, Lupe Anna Mills of Lakeland, FL, Charlotte Buff of Morganton; son, John M. Shuffler and wife, Donna of Crestview, FL; granddaughters, Amy Bradshaw and husband, Boyd, Heidi Henson and husband, Jonathon; and five great grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by daughter, Maxine Smith and son-in-law, Danny Mills.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at Drexel Christian Center with Rev. Charles Kelly, NC District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God and Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Drexel Christian Center, P.O. Box 2227, Drexel, NC 28619 or to Medi Home Hospice, 436 Hospital Dr. Suite 205, Newland, NC 28657. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family.
