Alfred Nelson Barlow

Alfred Nelson Barlow, 58, of Morganton, NC, died Sunday, April 24, 2016. He was born on October 17, 1957 in Avery County. He was member of Fairview United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maggie and Spencer Townsend; brother, David Townsend.
Mr. Barlow is survived by his children, Beth Hicks and Todd Barlow, both of Morganton, NC; siblings, Rick, Ray and Wanda Barlow, and Phil and Edna Townsend; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and the mother of his children, Teresa McCall.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. A memorial service will follow at 1:00pm with the Rev.
