Allen Edwards

Allen Edwards, 65, of Morganton, NC passed away Monday, May 16, 2016. He was born in Unicol County, TN and was the son of the late Earl Edwards and Wilma Berry Edwards. Allen was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was retired from Wright Table Company after 22 years. Allen Loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Patti Louise Edwards and sister, Arland Edwards Blanton.
Allen is survived by son, Allen Dean Edwards; daughters, Michelle Wellman and fiancé, Marcus Mosteller and Connie Brockland and husband, Rob; sister, Bernice Edwards; brother, Marvin Edwards; grandchildren, Brittany Edwards and Katie and Ben Brockland; great-grandchild, Kaylynn Edwards; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2016 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Pastor Olin Jones officiating.
