Allen George (Harrell) Miller, 57, formerly of Morganton, died Sunday, January 11, 2015. Born in Rutherfordton, NC, on February 22, 1957, he was the son of the late Rev. Ralph Miller and Margaret Elizabeth Harrell Miller.
Allen never met a stranger and was a joy to know as he shared his joyful spirit and love of life. He loved greeting people in church and is one who would have rather been working at his sheltered workshop than taking a day off. He will be missed by his family and all who had met him.
He is survived by his brother, Ralph Miller and his wife, Gail, of Charlotte, NC; and sisters, Marie M. Lowdermilk and her husband, Gene, of Morganton, Sarah M. Nuttall and her husband, Doug, of Candler, NC, and Kathryn M. McIntyre and her husband, Loring, of Swannanoa, NC. He also is survived by nieces: Emily Keathley (Kenny), Ellen Nuttall (Christian), Meghan Schronce (Jason), and Rachel Dale (Timothy) , as well as his nephew, Ben Nuttall, along with great nieces Ella and Nora Keathley and great nephew Marshall Keathley.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at 11 am at Burke Memorial Park with the Rev. Jack Bridges officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family.
