Amy Camille Cobb, 63, of Morganton, NC died Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Born February 25, 1951 in Burke County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Yates Cobb and Dot Elizabeth Dennie Cobb. Amy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by siblings, Alex Cobb and wife, Vicky of Morganton, Edwin Jack Cobb and wife, Frieda of Indiana, Carolyn Elizabeth Stewart and husband, Harold of Florida, Patrick Michael Cobb of South Carolina; and Janet April McCall and husband, Ben of Marion, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by siblings, Norman Gary Cobb, James Marcus Cobb, William Ronnie Cobb, Wanda Gail Brooks, and Donna Teresa Cobb.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 901 Bethel Rd., Morganton with Bishop Alan Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church for two hours before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
