Andre Robert "Dre" Kincaid

Andre Robert “Dre” Kincaid, 38 of Morganton went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 3, 2015. Andre was born July 15, 1977 in Burke County to Robert Richard Johnson and Irene Kincaid Johnson. He was a member of Hartland Church of God and he served in the US Navy from February 1996 to February 2000. Andre loved to cook and graduated from the Art Institute of Charlotte with a Culinary Degree in 2008. He worked as a chef at several restaurants in the Charlotte area including the Double Tree Hotel and the Bank of America Stadium. He cherished his kids, enjoyed spending time with his family and was always smiling and joking around. Andre was often able to brighten anyone's mood. To know him was to love him.
Andre was preceded in death by paternal grand-parents, Cora Lee and McDonald Johnson; maternal grand-parents, Earline and Andrew Pearson; and a special cousin, Damond Kincaid.
In addition to his parents Andre is survived by his sons, Christian Andre Kincaid of the home and Kaeden Alsandro Hairston of Charlotte; sisters, Shaqueen Kincaid, and Robin Johnson both of Morganton; brothers, Reginald Kincaid of Morganton and Robert A. Johnson formerly of Morganton; nephews, Jayden Connelly and Jace Connelly both of Morganton; and a special niece, Jenaya Johnson of Morganton and a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of Andre’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Hartland Church of God with the Reverend Eugene Kincaid officiating. The family will receive friend from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard. Following will be a balloon release in Andre's memory.
