Andy Stephan Brackett

Andy Stephan Brackett, 65, of Morganton, NC lost his battle with cancer on Friday, November 5, 2021. He was born on August 22, 1956 in Cleveland County to the late Mitchell Brackett and Kathryn Randall Brackett. As a young boy, Andy’s family moved to different locations in the US due to his father’s career. They lived in different locations in Florida and settled in West Palm Beach before moving to North Carolina. As a young boy, Andy aspired to drive a tractor and trailer which he achieved and loved doing very much. He was an avid fisherman. Andy had many friends and family he enjoyed very much as well as his two dogs, Bubba and Oscar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Angela Hiatt, brother, Jeffrey Brackett; and girlfriend Karen Reece.

He is survived by his niece, Lisa Hollar (Brandon Laws); great-nieces, Bristol Hollar and Shelby Laws, all of Valdese.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Andy at 3:00pm, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Sossoman Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Townsend officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
