Angela Benson

Angela Benson, 65, of Spartanburg, SC died Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at her residence. Born in Burke County, NC on January 4, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Vernie Gary Franklin and Mildred Hendrix Franklin.Angela is survived by her husband, Elen Wilson Benson of the home; sons, Franklin of Morganton, NC, Clint of Spartanburg, Kevin of Indiana, Kelly of Valdese, NC, Kirk of Morganton, Korey of Morganton, and Kip of Morganton; daughters, Kim Burcham of Valdese and Kristi Bordelon of Charlotte, NC; twenty-two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronnie Franklin; and sisters, Dawn Franklin of California, Cathy Watson of Atlanta, GA, and Karen Franklin of Valdese.The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald J. Smith officiating. Interment of the cremated remains will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
