Anita Coffey, 70, of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 25, 2021. Born on March 18, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Bynum and Virginia Church. She was a member of North Cross Church. Anita was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and canning, but enjoyed most of all, spending time with her family.
Anita is survived by her husband, Duie Coffey; daughters, Elizabeth Coffey, Tessie Norman (Steve), Renee Greene (Larry); grandsons, Zachary Norman (Hannah), Dylan Norman (Abby); great-grandchildren, Gracelynn Norman; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Anita is preceded in death by her grandson, Bynum Hughes; granddaughter, Beth Hughes; brothers, Gary and Kenny Church; sister, Virginia Pitts.
There are no services planned at this time.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
