Ann Marie Caracappa Lupoletti

Ann Marie Caracappa Lupoletti, 80, of Morganton, NC passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at Trinity Ridge Nursing Center. Born in Kings County, NY on April 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Steve Caracappa and Antonina Carolina Salerno Caracappa. Ann's strong-willed, independent, no-nonsense spirit and personality were a force in the lives of all who met her. She treasured the times she spent with her grandchildren playing dress up, tea parties, and losing at cards. She loved to laugh and was generous to everyone she met.
Ann is survived by her children, Nina Lupoletti Horton and husband, Fred of Morganton, Julia Lupoletti Chin and husband, Glen of Albertson, NY and son, David Lupoletti and wife, Lynda of Shirley, NY; grandchildren, Katie and Sarah Horton of Morganton, Brandon and Kyle Chin of Albertson, NY, and Brianna Lupoletti of Shirley, NY; a special cousin, Dominick Salerno of NY; special childhood friend, Mary Morreale of East Port, NY; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lupoletti; brothers, Dominick Caracappa, Phillip Caracappa and sister, Rita Massaro.
There are no services planned at this time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to any local hospice of your choice.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
