What can I say that's not already been said. My heart is sad that she has left us, but it's also in a state of joy because she was ready to go. The Lord's timing is perfect. My prayer goes out to her family for peace strength and joy during this season of your loss.

Anne and her sister Mary Frances were such an inspiration to me. We lined danced together. While I was sweating and breathing heavy on the third dance Anne and Mary Frances were not missing a beat! She was always so friendly and such a loving person. We’ll miss her!

I’m sadden to hear of Anne’s passing. She and I team taught for many years together at Salem. She was a wonderful reading teacher mentor to me. She was also an inspiration outside of school with the energy she had for life. She will surely be missed.

Robin, Buddy, Kitty, family, her friends, & her students: I'm so sorry to hear of Anne's passing. I know your hearts are breaking. She was a very dear and special lady to all of us. We still have (and use) the wedding gift she gave Mike & me 55 years ago and think of her often. I last spoke with Anne at Sarah Frances's wedding. She looked elegant, as always, & was so sweet. The Lord's Peace be with you all. 🙏♥️🙏

To the family of Mrs Anne Gamble I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs Gamble was my 3rd grade teacher. She and I became so close each others. Ben and she often came to pick up me at Hickory Airport. That is why my parents became so close to her. She and Bill moved to Kinston so all of us often visit each others. My dad passed away in 1974 and Anne did come to interpret for me during my dad’s funeral. That is why Anne is very special to me. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Jimmy Miller from Whitsett, NC

To the family of Ms. Anne Gamble, We were sorry to learn of Ms. Gamble's passing last Saturday. My wife Judy and I extend her family our deepest condolences. She was my fourth grade teacher at NCSD, one of the best I had there. We last met at her house in October, 2019 when NCSD was observing its 125th Anniversary of its founding. The students at NCSD, who have been under her, are thankful to have met Ms. Gamble and to benefit immensely from her classroom teaching and emphasis on service to others in the community. Sincerely, Claude Stout, Pittsboro, NC
