Anne Carswell Goins, 58, of Morganton, NC died Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Born in Burke County, NC on November 13, 1957, she was the daughter of Betty Bowman Carswell and the late Dewey Carswell. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church. Mrs. Goins enjoyed singing, raising flowers, cooking, and fishing and camping with her family.
In addition to her mother, Anne is survived by her husband, Michael Lee Goins of the home; a son, Michael Stevens Goins of Morganton; sisters, Teresa Dale and her husband, Robin, of Morganton and Mary Lee Carswell of Connelly Springs, NC; a brother, Jimmy Carswell of Glen Alpine, NC; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 5 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 at Grandview Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 5 p.m. in the church with the Rev. John Whisnant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grandview Baptist Church Building Fund, 2828 NC 126, Morganton, NC 28655.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
