Anne D. Wright

Anne D. Wright, 84 of Morganton, NC died Thursday, July 20, 2017 after several years of declining health . Born on March 4, 1933 in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late James Hardy Duckworth and Gertie Norman Duckworth.
Anne was a member of Missionary Ridge Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends dearly; however her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Anne also loved life, traveling with her church and anything North Carolina State Wolfpack or Atlanta Braves.
Anne is survived by sons, Graham Alan Wright and wife, Annette and William Austin Wright and wife, Stephanie and her grandchildren, Brittany Wright, Grace Wright, Matt Wright, and Will Wright. She is also survived by sisters, Katherine Head, Barbara Roberts, and Mary Garrison; brother, Leonard Duckworth; and many nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by a grandson, Wesley Russ.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Missionary Ridge Baptist Church. The service will be held in the church at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Christopher Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
