Annie Mae Whisenant Owens

Annie Mae Whisenant Owens, 76, of Morganton, NC passed away, Thursday, January 20, 2022. Born on April 12, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Annie Whisenant. Annie enjoyed working jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She was just a simple woman who loved life.

Annie is survived by her sons, Tommy, Joseph and Wayne Owens; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby and Mary; brother, Winnie.

In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Woffard Pressley Owens; five brothers and one sister.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm, Monday, January 24, 2022 at Wallace Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
