Annie Price Reese

Annie Price Reese, 84, of Reese Store Ave., Morganton, NC went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Autumn Care of Drexel following a period of declining health. Born in Madison County, NC on November 18, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Buren Price and Jeta Deaver Price. Annie was a faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and was very proud of her Senior Adult Ladies Sunday School Class. She retired from Drexel Furniture Company after working in plants 3 and 5 for over twenty years.She is survived by her sons, Gary D. Reese and wife, Thelma, and Jerry D. Reese and wife, Polly, all of Morganton; a daughter, Margaret Ann Houck and husband, Jim, of Fletcher, NC; grandchildren, David Lee, Michelle, Jeff, and Karen; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Grace Hyde, and husband, Jack, of East Flat Rock, NC.In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius B. Reece; a brother, Hilliard Price; and her life-long friend, Pearl Reese.The funeral will be held at 5:00 p.m, Friday, September 25, 2009 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Dewey Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
