April Denise Dale, 28, of Morganton passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 22, 2019. Born in Burke County, NC on July 8, 1991, she was the daughter of Chad Andrew Dale and the late Randa Denise Patton Riddle. April was a member of Gibb’s Chapel Wesleyan Church. She was a 2010 graduate of Freedom High School and enjoyed writing, reading, and painting.
April is survived by her father, Chad Dale (Elaine) of Morganton; brother, Gavin Riddle of Morganton; step-father, Kevin Riddle; paternal grandmother, Jewel Willis; maternal grandparents, Randolph and Elizabeth Patton; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to her mother, April was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Thomas L. Dale.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2019 at Nowlings Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m.in the church with Rev. Darvy Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Gibbs Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
