Ardene Kincaid Pearson, 94, of Morganton, NC, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017. She was born on May 16, 1923 in Burke County to the late James Edward Kincaid and Sallie Michaux Kincaid. She was a member of Hartland Church of God. Ardene retired from Shadowline Textiles, but continued domestic work for some of the best people in Burke County.
Ardene is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and one special great-nephew, “Her Boy” Timothy Burgess. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Avery Pearson; brothers, Willie E. Kincaid, Edison Kincaid and Charles Kincaid; and sisters, Annie Moore, Cora Michaux, Alberta Kincaid, Odess Johnson, Elsie Corpening and Olivia Bristol.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Hartland Church of God. The service will be at 2 pm in the church with the Rev. James Johnson and Rev. Mitchell Brittain officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
