Arlene Koski, 81, of Morganton, NC, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023.
Born in Burke County, NC on October 27, 1941, she was the daughter of the late James Woodrow Dale and Zennie Bell Benton Dale Hairfield.
Arlene was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed coloring her hair unique colors. Mrs. Koski had a servant’s heart; she was selfless and a peacemaker. She was a member of the Trains Club, and she enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains. Arlene was also an excellent baker and was known as the Fruitcake Queen.
Mrs. Koski is survived by her sister, Wilma Taylor (Gary); brother, James Dale (Becky); nieces, Cindy Dale Rose, Andria Dale Warren (Chris), and Jamie Taylor Clontz (Brandon); nephew, Barry Lee Taylor (Donna); and great-nieces, Sierra (Michael), Rebecca, Madison, Aleia, Kadence, and Braylen.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Koski; and brother, William “Bill” Dale.
The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Burke Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. Luke Lane officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Via Hospice.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Sorry for the loss to this family she always brought laughter wherever she went such a sweet person and full of life at the same time she will be missed
Wilma and Jamie, I am saddened now as I have just read this obituary of Arlene's passing. Bless her heart. She is not suffering now. I was so privileged it getting to know her @ the shop with you Wilma and Jamie whenever I would drop in. I kept thinking that she was going to beat this sickness.
