Arnold Lee Causby

Arnold Lee Causby, 53, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010. He was born in Burke County on February 16, 1957 and was a son of the late Edward Eugene "Bud" and Bertie Marie Carswell Causby. Arnold was a farmer who loved gardening and hunting. He was devoted to his family and his many friends. He was a member of Morganton Freedom Church of God.Surviving are his wife, Zella Lee Hollifield Causby, of the home; a step-son, Dave Suddreth; grandchildren, James and Storm Suddreth; brothers, John, Robert, and Dennis Causby; a sister, Rachel Causby Morgan; nephew, Michael Morgan; great-niece and great-nephew, Hannah and Grayson Morgan; step-nephews, Mark Langston, Ron Moorefield, Ben Hollifield, and Grey Hollifield; step-nieces, Bridgett Langston, Deanna Buff, Cindy Powell, Selena Avery, Michelle Buff, and Amanda Hollifield; brothers-in-law, Edward and Norman Hollifield; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Langston.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Morganton Freedom Church of God with the Reverends Todd Phillips and Bob Deviney officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday at Sossoman Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes before the funeral.
