Barbara Allman

Barbara Allman, 64 of Morganton, NC passed away Monday, September 4, 2017. She was born March 31, 1953 in Burke County, NC and was the daughter of Trudy Elma Norman Allman and the late Virgil Martin Allman. Barbara was a member of Soul’s Harvest Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a very generous person who found enjoyment helping others. Barbara enjoyed gospel singing and preparing meals for her family. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family that she dearly loved.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by infant sister, Sharon Allman.
In addition to her mother, Barbara is survived by daughter, Brenda Johnson Throneburg and husband, Donald of Connelly Springs; grandchildren, Madison Daniels, Gracie Daniels, Hunter Throneburg, and Ashlynn Throneburg; brother, “Marty” Allman, II; and sister, Dolores Gettys both of Morganton.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Baker officiating. At other times, the family will be at the home of Marty Allman.
