Barbara Ann Lytle

Barbara Ann Lytle, 64, of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 11, 2015. Born in Madison County, NC on May 18, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Roy G. Branam and Bessie King Branam. Originally from Marshall, NC, she also lived in Georgia, Indiana and Asheville for periods of time. Has lived in Morganton for 28 years. She was a CNA for 18 years, enjoyed caring for those less fortunate.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 26 years, Harry Lytle, Jr.; children, Sharon Shelton, of Morganton, Shane Shelton, of Asheville, Kimberly Shelton of Hendersonville, NC and Keith Shelton of Marshall, NC; step-sons, Joe Lytle, Jason Lytle, Gary Lytle and Terry Lytle all of Asheville; grandchildren, Nikole, Christopher, Steven, Kristen, Brian Keith, Jr., Raven, Cody, and Kyle; great-grandson, Caden; brothers, Donald Branam and wife, Essie, Doug Branam, Bill Branam and wife, Louise, all of Marshall and Vernon Branam of Indiana.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her ex-husband of 21 years, Dewey Shelton; brothers, Charles, Wayne and Dewey Branam; sisters, Dorothy "Betty" Ramsey, and Mary Frances Branam; sister-in-law, Elsie Branam; brother-in-law, James Ramsey; grandson, Michael Thomas, II; and son-in-law, Jeramiah Conner.
