Beatrice “Bea” Hall Coffey, 87, of Morganton, NC passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016. Born on May 12, 1929 in Caldwell County, Bea was a daughter of the late Thomas Hall and Grace Prestwood Hall. She was a member of Brown Mountain Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clint Coffey; son, Leonard Eugene Perkins; infant sister, Annie Hall; sisters, Ruby Cardwell, Shirley Rice, and Myrtle Price; and brother, Fred Hall.
Bea is survived by children, Raymond Coffey and wife, Sandra of Connelly Springs, J. T. Coffey and wife, Kathy of Morganton, Mary Frances Hensley and husband, Denver of Morganton, Eric Coffey and wife, Leslie of Madison, Ohio, and Pamela Stewart and husband, Eric of Morganton; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, James Prestwood and wife, Virginia, Bill Hall and wife, Margie, and Tommy Hall and wife Debbie all of Lenoir; and dear friend and neighbor, Frances Huffman, whom has been a blessing to the family.
The family and friends will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Brown Mountain Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in the church with Rev. Doug St. John officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
