Beatrice Poe Fisher Webb

Beatrice Poe Fisher Webb, 80, of Morganton, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 30, 2018.  Born in Rutherford County, NC on April 15, 1037, she was the daughter of the late Claude Harlon Fisher and Lillie Mae Jones Fisher.  Beatrice was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church.

Before her years of declining health, she was a seamstress at Highlander, Shadowline, and Skyline Textiles and a manager at Glen Alpine Sleepwear.  She also sewed for her family and made dolls.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Clyde Wilson Webb, Sr. of the home; son, Mickey (Kim) Webb of Morganton; daughters, Kathy W. (Dean) Burton and Karen W. (Dallas) Patton, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Will (Amanda) Webb, Andy (Angie) Webb, Sara Patton, Leah Patton, Joshua Patton, Lydia Patton, Amanda (Cody) Ray, Christy (Scott) Farris, and Tammy Burton; great-grandchildren, Luke Webb, James Webb, Bennett Webb, Abigail Ray, Hannah Ray, Tamra Burton, Chris Burton, Jessica Burton, and Michael Farris; brothers, Buddy (Daleleen) Fisher, Steve (Judy) Fisher, and Paul Fisher; brother-in-law, Jim (Liisa) Kelly; sister-in-law, Ruby Webb; and a number of nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence Fisher, Henry Fisher, and Charles Fisher; and sisters, Hazel McNeely and Mary Ann Morrow.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Revs. Kevin Crawford and Larry Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
