Becky Scott Cox, 69, of Winston-Salem, NC, formerly of Glen Alpine, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
Born in Burke County, NC on September 15, 1953, she was the daughter of Ruby Parkins Scott and the late Lee Roy Scott.
Becky was a member of First Christian Church in King, NC and retired from Medical Park Hospital in Winston-Salem. She was an avid reader and dearly loved her family.
Becky is survived by her husband of 34 years, Tim Cox; sister, Bonnie Perkins; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
In addition to her father, Becky was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim and Kevin Scott.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2023 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Peter Cain officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Alpine Cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

So Sorry to Here this News. Back in the 70’s when We were all young used to all ride around the Patio,Bigun, Bowling alley and have a lot of Fun. I was from Salem but hung around Glen Alpine a lot. Several Guys and Girls were really special and Becky was one of the Best. Lat time I seen her and her Mom was at a Dr’s office in Hickory a few years ago. Rest In Peace Sweet Lady. Steve.
I remember Becky as a wonderful person who lit up every room she entered. Her beautiful smile will be greatly missed.
