Benjamin "Ben" Mull

Benjamin "Ben" Mull, 81, formerly of Mull Lane, Morganton died Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Autumn Care of Drexel. He was born in Burke County on December 15, 1928 and was a son of the late Benjamin Ish Mull, Sr. and Mary Lela Wells Mull. Ben graduated from Morganton High School in 1947 and graduated from Wofford College, and he served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He retired from B.A.S.F. which had previously been Inmont Corporation and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Mull, of Morganton; his niece, Reneé Taylor and her husband, Tommy of Morganton; great niece, Candace Wellman; and great nephew, Ashley Taylor.In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by a brother, James B. Mull.The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Mr. Kevin Crawford officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the N.C.National Guard. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Library Foundation, 204 S.
