Bessie Leila Robinson

Bessie Leila Robinson, 85, of Morganton, NC died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Grace Heights. Born August 31, 1927 in Burke County, NC, she was a daughter of the late John Lee Robinson and Mary Ida Watts Robinson. Bessie was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.She is survived by sisters, Lillie Mae Neal and Beatrice Pritchard, both of Morganton; and a number of nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by brothers, Boyd and Lewis Lee Robinson; and sisters, Lou Annie Robinson, Bertha Smith, Velva Etta Smith, and Mamie Marie Buff.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 15, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
