Bessie Shehan Morrow, 94 of Morganton, NC went to her Heavenly home, Tuesday, September 15, 2020. Born on November 26, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Billy and Mattie Shehan. Bessie was a member of Southside Baptist Church, and attended First Baptist Church of Morganton. She worked for the Morganton News Herald and had also worked at Carolina Shoe.
Bessie is survived by her son, Rick Morrow (Sarah); daughter, Linda Womack; sisters, Fannie Collins, Annie Jackson, Dolly Lewis; brother, Joe Vernon Shehan; and grandchildren, Chad Morrow, Mel Rhoney, Devin Powell, Ambrose Duckworth, Dillion Duckworth, Megan Keese, Kelly Martin, and Nikki Gibbs.
In addition to her parent, Bessie is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Virgil Morrow; sons, Steve Morrow, Jack Morrow; daughter, Deborah Taylor; brother, Jesse Shehan; sisters, Ruth Russell and Sue Shehan; and grandson, Steven Morrow.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
