Betty Buchanan Winters

Betty Buchanan Winters, 84 of Morganton, NC passed away Thursday 29, 2021. Born on December 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Marion “Buck” Buchanan and Jessie Burkett Buchanan.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Debbie Duckworth, Barbara Williams (Bobby), Pam Kennedy (Mike), Kathy Smith (Steve); sons, Robert Winters (Shirley), Dennis Winters (Donna); 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild; sisters, Ruth “Sis” Maupin, Peggy Allen (Jack).

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Winters, Sr.; son, Jimmy Lee Winters, Jr.; brothers, George Buchanan, Bill Buchanan, Danny Buchanan; sister, Dorothy Carter.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30pm, Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Burke Memorial Park.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
