Betty Evans Dale

Betty Evans Dale, 78, died Friday, January 21, 2011, following a period of declining health. She was born in McDowell County on July 12, 1932 and was a daughter of the late William Andrew Evans and Beulah Powell Evans. Betty was a retired employee of Henredon Furniture. After her retirement she became a certified nursing assistant. She was of the Baptist faith.Surviving are her children, Martha Jane Denny of Conover; Steven Douglas Dale of Connelly Springs; Susan Renee Byrd and husband, Keith, of Morganton, and Richard Todd Dale and wife, Sharon, of Boone; grandchildren, Chad, Craig, and Kimberly Ann Causby, Tiffany Dyer, and Cody and Kristen Dale; great grandchildren, Josh , Chase, and Peyton Causby, and Imagine Dale; sister, Sue Evans Kearns of Conover, and brothers, Kenneth Evans and wife, Helen of Mead, Washington, and Bill Evans and wife, Sandy, of Morganton.In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Evans; a grandson, Phillip Dale; and her canine companions, Robin and Duchess.Memorial services will be held at a later date. Sossoman Funeral Home & Crematory Center is assisting the family.
