Betty Foreman Mosteller, 72, of Morganton, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 23, 2016. Born in Burke County, NC on February 21, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Mack Foreman and Ila Smith Foreman. Betty was an active member of Burkemont Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. In 1998 Mrs. Mosteller retired from Broughton Hospital. She was a strong-willed person who did not let the obstacles in her life challenge her faith. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Lorrie Parlier and her husband, Chris, of Morganton; a son, Scott Mosteller and his wife, Renee, of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Devin Mosteller, Lofton Parlier, Kaitlyn Mosteller; Bryson Mosteller and his wife, Sara, Taylor Whisenant, Courtney Palmer and her husband, Aaron, Tyler Parlier and his wife, Ashley, and Dana Parlier; a great-granddaughter, Braylee Palmer; sisters, Maxine Merrill and Lovenia Searcy and her husband, Worth; a brother, Mack Foreman, Jr. and his wife, Margaret; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Braelynn Saige Parlier; and her former husband, Ray Mosteller.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 6 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Burkemont Baptist Church. The memorial service will follow at the church at 6 p.m. with Dr. David Mills and the Rev. Eddy Bunton officiating.
