Betty Harmon Curtis

Betty Harmon Curtis, 63, of Morganton, NC, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Born in Burke County, NC on October 30, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Charles Evans Harmon and Nancy Elizabeth McSwain Harmon.

Betty was a member of Sonlight Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts, flowers, playing the piano, and especially spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her husband of 25 years, Shawn Curtis; siblings, Ann Hoyle (Robert), Jimmy Harmon (Louellen), and Charles “Bud” Steward (Patsy); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Harmon.

The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Sonlight Baptist Church with Pastors Michael Webb and Doug Woody officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
