Betty Hildebran Jaquins

Betty Hildebran Jaquins, 80, of Morganton, NC died Monday, May 27, 2013. Born in Burke County, NC on July 2, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Dirl Hildebran and Jessie Taylor Hildebran. Betty was an active and involved member of Friendship Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and canning, and she loved helping other people.Betty is survived by her son, David Allen Jaquins and his wife, Myra, of Morganton; grandsons, D. J. Jaquins and his wife, Laura, of Newton, NC and Michael Adam Jaquins and his wife, Amber, of Lenoir, NC; great-granddaughters, Alexis Jaquins and Charlotte Jaquins; and sisters, Gertrude Young, Katherine Whiteside, Fannie Mae Lowman, and Sally Hildebran, all of Icard, NC.In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Allen Jaquins; and a brother, Theodore Hildebran.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip King officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
