Betty Williams Setzer

Betty Williams Setzer, 83, of Morganton, NC passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Grace Heights. Born in Burke County, NC on January 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John Herndon Williams and Bertie Whitmire Williams. Betty retired from Drexel Heritage after 44 years and was a member of Hartland Baptist Church.She is survived by her daughter, Pam Clark and her husband, Philip, of Morganton; a sister, Peggy Martin and her husband, Don, of Stoney Point, NC; a brother, Frank S. Williams of Murrell’s Inlet, SC; and several beloved nephews and nieces.In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Setzer; sisters, Mamie Suddreth and Marguerette Curtis; and brothers, Clarence Williams and Alfred Williams.The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 22, 2013 at Hartland Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Parker and the Rev. Allen Boliek officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hartland Baptist Church Debt Retirement Fund, 3730 Hartland Road, Morganton, NC 28655 or to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.
