Betty Willis Hoyle

Betty Willis Hoyle, 83, of Morganton, NC died Sunday, August 10, 2014. Born September 29, 1930 in Yancey County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Willis and Beatrice Willis. Betty was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She graduated from Grace Hospital School of Nursing in 1951 as a registered nurse. Betty was a retired employee of Broughton Hospital, and a volunteer with the Red Cross Blood bank.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Charles Hoyle of the home; daughters, Lovenna J. Hoyle of Morganton, and Regina Hoyle Bajorck and husband, Dr. William J. Bajorck of Ohio; grandchildren, Chris Tremer, Angela T. Witzel and husband, Greg, and Grady Bajorck; great-grandchildren, Chyna and David Tremer, and Ethan Witzel; and a sister, Shirley Suddreth of Spruce Pine, NC.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Willis.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the Hoyle’s residence.
