Beulah Hunt Hull

Beulah Hunt Hull, 98, of College Pines, Valdese, NC and a former resident of Clearview Dr., Morganton, NC died Monday, April 4, 2011. Born in Cleveland County, NC on January 15, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Broadus Hunt and Dovie Ledford Hunt. Beulah was a member of Walker Road Baptist Church and a retired seamstress from Broughton Hospital. After her retirement, she and her late husband traveled to churches, civic clubs, and nursing homes to sing for entertainment programs. Beulah was a loving and devoted mother and friend.Mrs. Hull is survived by her daughters, Jean Hull Pursley of Hickory, NC and Phyllis Hull Weeks of Morganton; sisters, Ruby Crotts of Hickory and Doris Phillips of Casar, NC; grandchildren, Ronnie Weeks and wife, Diane, Kim Weeks, and Donna Pursley Broyhill and husband, John; and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Broyhill.In addition to her parents, Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, Fred T. Hull; a daughter, Jackie Hull; a son-in-law, Don M. Pursley; brothers, Flay, Hubert, and Bob Hunt; and sisters, Hattie Causby, Zora Mull, and Mamie Brittain.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Walker Road Baptist Church with Reverends Brandon Ware and Rocky Branch officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in New Home United Methodist Church Cemetery in Casar.
