Billie Joyce Hensley Hefner

Billie Joyce Hensley Hefner, 56, of Rainhill Church Rd., Morganton, NC died Sunday, September 9, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born Feb. 12, 1951 in Yancey Co., NC, and was a daughter of the late John Leslie Hensley and Lena Hensley Beam. Billie was a former employee of Carolina Shoe and the Days Inn in Marion, NC.She is survived by her husband, Jerry Ray Hefner, Sr. of the home; sons, Joseph Steven Stanley of Colorado, James Stanley of Newton, NC, Kenny Lee Fredell of Lincolnton, NC, Howard Pearly Fredell, Jr. of Hickory, NC, and Jerry Ray Hefner, Jr. of Morganton; daughters, Carol Williams of Georgia, and Crystal Cramer and Celena Hefner, both of Morganton; sisters, Alma Robinson of Lincolnton and Barbara Griffin of Lenoir, NC; brothers, Tommy Hensley of Valdese, NC, Wayne Hensley of Spruce Pine, NC, and Jody Hensley of Lenoir; and 27 grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2007 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Ellington officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
