Billy Ray Miller

Billy Ray Miller, 41, of Morganton, NC went to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Born in Burke County, NC on January 16, 1973, he was the son of Bill and Georgie Miller of Morganton. Billy was raised in the Baptist faith. He was an avid CB’er; his handle was Blue Goose.In addition to his parents, Billy is survived by his daughter, Shelby Lynn Miller; a sister, Jackie Brown and her husband, Terry; nephews, Cody and Justin Brown; his fiancée, Kimberly Bivens; his little dog, Shin; his maternal grandmother, Pearl Moore; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.Billy was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, George Moore; and his paternal grandparents, Mike and Becky Miller.The funeral will be held at 2pm, Friday, February 14, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Rev. Stoney Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2pm prior to the service.Memorial contributions may be made to his daughter, Shelby, to help with her educational expenses.
