Bobby Alexander Evans

Bobby Alexander Evans, 71, of Morganton NC, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 15, 2018. Born on June 4, 1947, he is the son of the late William Henry Evans and Laura Malinda Jordan Evans. Bobby served as a Specialist in the United States Army. He was a very simple man with a big heart who loved his family dearly. Bobby was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football, NASCAR and golf on the television.

Left to cherish his memories are his sister, Frances Evans Freeman; special nieces and caretakers, Melinda Powell and her children Tyler, Megan and Jalen, Melissa Freeman and her son Nicholas; best friend, Allan Wilson and many other nieces, nephews and extended family.

Bobby is preceded in death by his brother, James Evans; sisters, Mattie Evans Coleman and Pansy Evans Causby.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Laura Roach officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the NC National Guard and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
