Bobby Lee Bridges

Bobby Lee Bridges, 88, of Morganton went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 30, 2019.  Born in Cleveland County, NC on December 1, 1930, he was the son of the late John Lester Bridges and Mattie Bell Powell Bridges.  Bobby was a member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church and worked at Drexel Heritage for 35 years.

He is survived by his caretakers, Danny and Nancy McClellan.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his first wife, Leola Jameson Bridges; second wife, Ruby Searcy Bridges; half-brother, Lester Dean Bridges; and sisters, Vernie Murray and Frances Morrison.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Richard Ellington officiating.  Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
