Bobby S. Branch

Bobby S. Branch, 72, of Morganton died Monday, September 27, 2010 at Grace Hospital. He was born in Burke County on April 15, 1938 and was a son of the late Charles Branch and Fannie Navy Branch. Bobby retired from Broughton Hospital after 20 years of service and was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Aileen Roper Branch, of the home; his daughter, Lori Holland and husband, Jonathan; grandchildren, Bryson Holland and Kimberly Ott, all of Morganton; a brother, Bill Branch of Lenoir; sisters, Ruby Dula of Connelly Springs, Jean Greer and husband, Ray, and Linda Denny and husband, Pat, all of Lenoir; and Nora Benfield and husband, Walt, of Morganton.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.Cryptside services will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Bob Deviney officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Sossoman Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the residence.
