Brenda Champion, 76, of Connelly Springs, NC passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024. She was born on September 4, 1947 in Cleveland County to the late Johnny Crotts and Mozelle Lail Crotts. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed decorating cakes, cooking and coloring. Brenda welcomed everyone to her home and wanted to take care of all who were in need.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad E. Champion; and an infant sister.

She is survived by her children, Ronnie Champion (Amy) and Reba Yancey (Travis); grandchildren, Ethan Champion (Nikki), Zachary Brown, Holden Yancey, Jessica McKee, April McKee and Kaitlyn McKee; siblings, Sue White, Colleen Price, and Kenny Crotts; a number of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends; and her grand dog, Zoey Lynn.

The family will receive friends from 3pm-4pm, Monday, May 27, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 4pm in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Paul Grindstaff officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
