Brenda Johnson Baxter, 70, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Carolina Rehab Center of Burke. Born in Detroit County, Michigan on February 18, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Paul Ervin Johnson and Agnes Eula Wilson Johnson.
Brenda was a member of Burke Community Bible Church. She was employed for many years in the banking industry.
Brenda is survived by her son, Jordan Baxter of Morganton and cousin, Lynda Wilson Whitener of Albemarle.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m., at Burke Memorial Park with Pastor David Doster officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 4 -A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
