Brenda "Kaye" Taylor

Brenda “Kaye” Taylor, 71, of Morganton, NC passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021. Born on March 9, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Merlie and Helen Chapman. Kaye was a member of Oak Hill UMC. She retired from the Burke County Public School System, at Glen Alpine Elementary School. Kaye was a member of the Alpha Nu chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was also a member of the Oak Hill Ruritan Club.

Kaye is survived by her sons, Wesley Taylor (Amanda), Nathan Taylor (Jenny); grandchildren, Will, Max, Drew, Mary, and Kyle Taylor; sister, Joanne Beck (Jerry); sister-in-law, Ellen Juban (Jim); and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kaye was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Arthur Taylor; brother, Andy Chapman.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm, Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Oak Hill Methodist Church Cemetery. The family would like to say a special thank you to cousin, Gary Burns and also the staff at Grace Ridge Retirement Community.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MPAC at Oak Hill Methodist Church.
