Brenda Wells Freeman

Brenda Wells Freeman, 65, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 following a period of declining health. Brenda was born in Burke County on November 7, 1946 and was the daughter of Bertha Cresson Wells of Morganton and the late Louis Wells. Brenda was of the Baptist faith and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.Surviving are her husband, Tim Freeman of the home; son, Timothy Taylor Freeman and wife, Andrea, of Wilmington; daughter, Angela Marie Proffit of Charlotte; brothers, Junior Wells of Icard and Danny Ray Wells of Valdese; and three grandchildren.In addition to her father, Brenda was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Gene Freeman and her brother, Eugene WellsThe funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.
